1. Trading Platform
Paymium is the only French platform offering an EUR/BTC trading market. This means that the BTC price on Paymium is determined directly by the interaction between buyers and sellers through the order book.
Two types of orders are available on this trading pair:
- Market Order
A market order allows you to buy or sell BTC immediately at the best available price in the order book at the time of execution.
This type of order prioritizes speed of execution. However, the final execution price may vary depending on the available liquidity and changes in the order book at the time the order is executed.

- Limit Order
A limit order allows you to set a maximum purchase price or a minimum selling price in advance.
This type of order provides greater control over the execution price. However, depending on the limit price set and market conditions, the order may not be executed immediately or may only be partially executed.

2. Exchange Service
For all other trading pairs available on Paymium (excluding BTC/EUR), transactions are carried out through our exchange service (brokerage). This means that there is no dedicated order book. Conversions are executed directly with Paymium using its own crypto-asset reserves.
Before the transaction is confirmed, the quoted price is displayed to the customer. This price may include a margin applied by Paymium, notably to cover liquidity, execution, and service management costs.
The best execution principles and the associated policy do not apply to this type of service.
3. OTC Service
For transactions exceeding €50,000 (or the equivalent amount in another currency), Paymium offers a personalized OTC service.
This service enables large-volume transactions to be executed outside the order book in order to reduce their potential market impact and seek execution conditions appropriate to the size of the transaction.
