Your euro funds are secured on an e-money account by our banking partner. What's more, as our banking partner is based in Europe, your funds are protected by the Deposit Guarantee Fund, in compliance with European regulations.‍

Your cryptocurrencies are stored according to industry best practice. 98% of cryptos are stored offline in “cold storage” to ensure optimum security.

Paymium has been a pioneer  in the crypto-currency industry by launching the Euro/Bitcoin pair back in 2011.

With its experience and team of crypto-currencies & blockchain experts and passionate people, Paymium is developing a number of services for both retail and professional customers including new crypto-currency pairs, Recurring Buy Plan (also known as Dollar-Cost Averaging) for Bitcoin and Ethereum, credit card purchase, email transfer, OTC Desk, Bitcoin payment button and unhosted wallets.

Our ambition is to become a leader in Europe while complying with the regulation.
Paymium is also registered as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) with the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) since March 2021.

Security of our client’s funds is one of our top priorities:
- We store 98% of funds in cold storage (not connected to the Internet),
- We hold them in full reserve (client deposits are available for immediate withdrawal),
- We do not invest in hedge funds.

Persons of legal age (over 18 years old), companies and wealth managers can register on Paymium.

You can hold only one Paymium account per person and only one account per legal entity.

Our banking partner is the company Paynovate SA, an electronic money institution licenced in Belgium established and having its registered office Rue des Colonies 18a 1000 Bruxelles (N° BCE 0506.763.929).

The Pacte law has established a specific and innovative regulatory framework for digital assets. It defined categories of services that may be licenced by the AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) on an optional basis, the first four of which are required to comply with a registration procedure.

The services:
1- the custody of digital assets on behalf of a client,
2- the service of buying or selling digital assets for legal tender,
3- trading of digital assets against other digital assets,
4- the operation of a trading platform for digital assets,
5- other services on digital assets, such as the reception and transmission of orders for digital assets, the management of digital asset portfolios, advice to investors in digital assets, digital asset underwriting, the guaranteed placement of digital assets, the non-guaranteed placement of digital assets.

Paymium has been registered as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) since March 2021 under no. E2021-011.

An e-money account is an account where you can have online funds (euros for instance).

Paymium customers who want to keep their euros on the platform can have an e-money account in their name.
It is also possible to make immediate purchases by sending funds directly to the Paymium account visible from their interface.

Only European customers can apply for a dedicated e-money account.
